dc.description.abstractThe nuclear field theory is applied to the inelastic scattering of structureless particles by nuclei. It is found that the coupling Hamiltonian between scattering and collective variables is linear. Therefore for one-step processes the only anharmonicities present correspond to the description of the bound state.
