Resumen
La aplicación de los radioisótopos, ya sea corno fuentes selladas o trazadores, incluyendo también el análisis por activación, aporta soluciones a la ingeniería e industria argentinas. La Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica de la República Argentina trabaja activamente en el desarrollo y promoción de estas técnicas desde la década del 60. El presente informe describe y analiza las aplicaciones más relevantes y actualiza algunas publicaciones anteriores sugiriendo ideas para completar la penetración en la tecnología argentina, como así también, a la luz de datos estadísticos esboza algunas perspectivas.
The different applications of radioisotopes: as sealed sources or tracers, as well as activation analysis have cast a new light on argentine engeneering and industry. The Argentine Atomic Energy Commission is carrying out an active plan for the developement and promotion of these techniques since the '60. This report describes and analyzes the most outstanding applications, and brings up to date other previous papers on the same subject. It suggests some ideas for achieving a complete penetration of radioisotope techniques into argentine technology. It also outlines some future perspectives, based on present statistical data.
