dc.description.abstractIn a recent paper, LYLE and SHENDRIKAR have shown the advantage of using N-benzoyl-phenyl-hydroxylamine (BPH) for the carrier-free separation of niobium from zirconium. For some time we have been using practically the same method in our laboratory and with the same good results. LYLE and SHENDRIKAR recommend a 1 M HC1-0.05 M HF solution for the extractions.
