dc.description.abstractThe availability of germanium gamma-detectors has rendered feasible the observation of 130I in the presence of a large excess of 128I. We have made use of this possibility to compare in caesium iodate the retention of 130I, prepared by the 133Cs(n,x) process, with the retention of 128I and 126I, obtained by the nuclear reactions 127I(n,y) and 127I(n,2n). By means of this technique we also compared the annealing of the three isotopes in the CsI03 matrix.
