dc.description.abstract | On December 16, 1967 an Argentine ORION II rocket was launched carrying an instrumented payload composed of four GEIGER-MÜLLER counters and one Nal(Tl) scintillator. Although the main object of the experiment was the measurement of the X-ray flux and spectrum near the top of the atmosphere, the information obtained from the GM counters made it possible to measure the integral intensity of the primary cosmic radiation above the local geomagnetic cut-off. | |
