dc.description.abstractA large number of Beta phase noble metal alloys show long range order below a critical ordering temperature. The contribution of order to the stability of the phases has been analyzed by the Bragg – Williams - Gorski (BWG) model. In this model it is assumed that the internal energy can be described in terms of chemical interchange energies.
