Effect of normal processes on the thermal conductivity of finite ínsulating samples.

Abstract

A model for the calculation of the thermal conductivity of finite dielectric samples is given. Explicit calculations have been made for two different geometries in the two limiting cases where the phonon-phonon mean free path is much longer and much shorter respectively than the characteristic dimensions of the sample.
