dc.description.abstractA thermal neutron, fast neutron and gamma photon detector based on a water Cherenkov detector and which allows large active detection volumes at a relatively low cost and higher-intensity signals, wherein said detector comprises a receptacle which comprises at least one lid; a coating that reflects and diffuses photons in the interior of the receptacle; an aqueous solution contained in the receptacle which comprises sodium chloride (NaCl); and a light sensor device optically coupled to the aqueous solution.
