Gas-liquid two-phase flows are described by means of a bubble distribution function. The steady-state caae is numerically solved and the results show that the interfacial area density Increases, have a maximum at an Intermediate value and than decreases with void fraction. This behavior Is considered to bo due to the different flow regimes: bubbly, slug and annular that appear with increasing void fraction.
