Sc 45 and the excited core model

Abstract

The validity of the excitad core model in the case of Sc 45 is studied by using elastic and inelastic proton scattering from Sc 45 and Ti 46. It is shown that tbe corresponding multiplet can be interpreted as an interaction of a hole in the If t/2 shell with the core of Ti 46. From the five members of the multiplet four were certain bly identified. The fifth is only found with some probability. Spins and parities were tentatively assigned and intensity rule, center of gravity theorem and shapes of the angular distributions were verified.

Se estudia la validez del modelo de núcleo excitado en el caso de Sc 45 usando dispersión de protones elástica e inelástica de Sc 45 y Ti 46. Se muestra que el multiplete correspondiente puede interpretarse como una interacción de un hueco en el If t/ 2 shell con el núcleo de Ti 46. De los cinco miembros del multiplete, cuatro fueron identificados con certeza. El quinto solo se encuentra con cierta probabilidad. Se asignaron tentativamente espines y paridades y se verificaron la regla de intensidad, el teorema del centro de gravedad y las formas de las distribuciones angulares.
