Handbook of radiopharmaceutical controls

Abstract

Since 1962, at different occasions several essays have been made in order to prepare a Handbook of Radiopharmaceutical Controls. At the III Congress of the Latinoamerican Association of Societies of Nuclear Biology and Medicine ALASBIMN in 1970 was presented a Handbook that served as basis for the next one. The Argentine National Atomic Energy Commission (C.N.E.A.), and the Nuclear Energy Council of Spain (J.E.N.) presented in cooperation in 1972 a Handbook of Radiopharmaceutical Controls. The members of the Argentine Committee of Radiopharmacy of the Argentine Association of Nuclear Biology and Medicine decided the preparation of this Handbook, with the cooperation of other argentinean colleagues. Hie first part is a wider remake of the original Handbook of CNEA-JEN and further chapters review radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals that are most widely used in nuclear medicine. The president of ALASBIMN knowing our intention sponsored this work in order to carry by its distribution to all latinoamerican colleagues of ALASBIMN with the feeling of improvement and provision of new ideas. This effort of ALASBIMN is equal to the activities of the Argentine CNEA in this field whose valuable help is aknowledged in the preparation of this Handbook that we hope will be useful to all our colleagues.
