Thermodynamics of oxygen ordering in YBa2-Cu3-O6+x

Abstract

We have calculated the x-T phase diagram of the CuOx planes assuming screened-Coulomb repulsions between 0 ions up to the 5th nearest neighbors. The repulsion between 2nd neighbors with a Cu in between is reduced by charge-transfer effects. The region of failure enlarges for smaller basic clusters.
