Elimination of zirconium and niobium from uranium solution

Abstract

A method for adsorbing fission produots from uranium solutions has been studied on the laboratory scale. More than 90% of the 95 Zr – 95 Nb pair can be retained on conoidal silica from liquids simulating the dissolver solution of reprocessing plants.
