Progress report 1976-1977. Departament of Physics, Nuclear Physics

Abstract

The time interval covered by this report has been particularly prolific. Above everything else it will remain in our minds as the time in which the new 20 MV Heavy Ion Tandem Accelerator was purchased. This singnificant step, of utimost importance for the future of physics in Argentina, occupied a substantial fraction of the total effort carried out by the Departament. Nevertheless, the research activities and services were neither interrupted nor weakend. On the contrary, it is even possible to appreciate an increase in the research activities undertaken within the last two years.
