The crystallography of the martensitic transformation in (225) steels.

Abstract

The crystallography of the martensitic transformation in (225) steels is described by a combination of a (110) M (111) M secondary shear and a twin shear on a (112) M in (111) of the martensite lattice. It is shown that good agreement exists between the theory and the observations.
