Building a 745 MWe pressure-vessel PHWR in the Argentine. Contracts for plant and fuel

Abstract

In October 1979 the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (CNEA) signed a Ietter of intent with Kraftwcrk Union (KWU) for the purchase of a nuclear power plant with a pressurized heavy water reactor (phwr). The contractual negotiations started inmediately and the main CNHA-KWU contracts were signed in May 1980 in Buenos Aires and approved by the Argentino government in July 1981.
