Radiological impact of radioactive waste managment

Abstract

The management of the radioactve wastes from the nuclear fuel cycle must take into account the requirements of radiation protection. Some of these requirements are concerned with the protection of individuals, achieved by the limitation of individual radiation exposures. Other requirements relate to the total radiation impact incurred from the practice under consideration , and involve consideration of collective radiation exposures.
