dc.description.abstractThe use of a pressure vessel in the Kraftwerk Union design of pressurized heavy water reactor enables many of the components and systems proven in PWRs to be used. Argentina’s nuclear programme is notable for the rapid growth in the contribution of local industry and engineering effort, and with the setting up of the national engineering company, ENACE, the country will have its own architect-engineer.
