dc.description.abstractThe tetragonal-to-monoclinic phase transition in zirconia powders when exposed to various aas mixtures was studied. Analysis was done at 940°C in the presence of arqon and different chlonne-argon mixtures. X-ray diffraction shows that the phase transition is accelerated in the presence of Chlorine. Transmission Electron Microscopy reveals hanges in the microstructure of the particles subjected to the gaseous mixtures.
