dc.description.abstractThe subject of the kinetics of deoxidation of liquid steel is a major study; consequently this paper will survey the subject briefly and then discuss in more detail those areas which appear to be most worthy of further experimental and theoretical study. Reactions resulting in the formation o gaseous deoxidation products will not be considered.
