dc.description.abstractThe aim of the present work is to develop a technique to evaluate such parameters as crack propagation rate and crack sharpness through short term experiments. Such a technique would be a useful tool to predict dangerous potentials, alloy structures, heat treatments and /or water composition ranges which might be found in industrial equipment. On the other hand, these short term experiment would make it possible to evaluate the significance of such changes in the working system as the use of inhibitors, contamination by leaking condensers, change in alloy specifications, etc.
