El autor presenta una sucinta descripción histórica, personal, cronológica, de su actividad en el área de la termodinámica fenomenológica, comenzando desde su ingreso en 1958 al entonces Instituto de Física de Bariloche (ahora Instituto Balseiro) y hasta la fecha. Los temas mencionados se refieren por un lado a la ciencia de los materiales, en especial materiales metálicos y sus aleaciones, hidruros y óxidos, y por otro, a sistemas de generación masiva de energía eléctrica, en particular, reactores nucleares. También menciona su interés en la aplicación de la termodinámica a sistemas vivientes. Por último, el autor señala su vocación y dedicación al importante tema de la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la termodinámica fenomenológica como parte fundamental de la física, incluyendo su visión actual sobre dicho tema.
The author presents a concise historical description, personal, chronological, of his activity in the area of phenomenological thermodynamics, starting from his admission in 1958 to the then Bariloche Institute of Physics (now Balseiro Institute) and up to date. The topics mentioned refer, on one hand, to the science of materials, especially metallic materials and their alloys, hydrides and oxides, and on the other, to massive electric power generation systems, particularly nuclear reactors. He also mentions his interest in the application of thermodynamics to living systems. Finally, the author points out his vocation and dedication to the important topic of teaching and learning phenomenological thermodynamics as a fundamental part of physics, including his current vision on this topic.
