Workshop on condensed matter 1980.

Abstract

This Workshop was organized as part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Instituto Balseiro. It took place from the 15th to the 20th of December 1980 and the contributions from the local scientists reflect the current activity at the Centro Atómico Bariloche in the field of Condensed Matter. Some of the modern trends in this area of research were presented by the visiting speakers. The organizers wish to thank all participants for the atmosphere they helped to create, which made possible to have, in an informal and pleasant way, an intense activity and exchange of views that this volume cannot convey. This was the first time that a workshop of this kind took place in the Centro Atómico Bariloche. It was a challenge met by the combined effort of scientists, technicians and administration employees; to all of them our thanks.
