Sobre la formación de la fenilacetona: I. Comprobación de una reacción de intercambio en la pirólisis de mezclas de acetato de litio-1-C14 con fenilacetato de litio

Abstract

A new exchange reaction taking place when mixtures of lithium acétate and lithium phenylacetate are pyrolized is reported. It is demostrated by the fact that when acetate-l-C14 is utilized, active dibencylketone is obtained. It is also shown that the barium carbonate formed during the reaction is not involved in the exchange reaction. After this work was informed to the 2nd United Nations International Conference on the Pcaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, Geneva 1958, the same result has been published by independent workers (10) who used sodium salts instead of lithium salts for same purpose.
