dc.description.abstractThe number of theories have been proposed to explain the plastic behaviour of ordered solid solutions. Most of them try to explain the observed data on yield stress, but very few deal with the work hardening behaviour of such alloys. The present review is intended to correlate the diffe- rent theoretical and experimental data published up to now, and to comment on future research on both the yield stress and work hardening behaviour of some ordered f.c.c. lattices.
