Ítem Acceso Abierto A new ferroelectric: Guanidinium uranyl sulfate trihydrate.(Taylor & Francis, 1978) Lanza de Dussel, H.; Wainer, L. S. de; Rodríguez de Benyacar, M. A.Dielectric behaviour studies have been carried out on (C(NH2) 3) 2) - UO2 - (SO4)2 - 3H2O, a member of the family of guanidinium sulfate hydrates. The uranyl compound, which is not isomorphous with G.A.S.H., is ferroelectric from about 100°C (decomposition temperature) down to -30 °C , the lowest we have employed. Domain structure and etch-pit configuration are quite similar to those observed in G.A.S.H.Ítem Acceso Abierto Electron microscope study of surface markins left by unsteady cleavage crack propagation in NaCl single crystals(Taylor & Francis, 1978) Wainer, L. S. de; Bassett, G. A.Surface markings left by an unsteadily propagating cleavage crack in NaCi single crystals have been studied by electron microscopy as a function of accelerations and decelerations of the crack. As a result, a comprehensive description of the sequence of markings present between two successive stopped crack fronts has been obtained. Models are proposed illustrating the manner in which the activation of the longitudinal and transverse slip systems and their interaction can account for the cleavage markings observed.
