Ítem Acceso Abierto Measurement and calculation of leakage neutrón spectrum in light water(1978) Lolich, J.; Abbate, M.Leakage neutron spectrum measurement has been made in pure light water using standard time-of-flight techniques. The measurement was com pared to calculations performed with the ENDF/GASKET scattering model in conjunction with a modified versión of the DTF-IV code in S¡, P and P1 approximations. The P0 approximation proved to be satisfactory, for the spectra studied, being the largest discrepancy between theory and measurement of 8 %.Ítem Acceso Abierto Neutron thermalizatíon in heavy water-Measurement and calculation of spectra(1979) Abbate, M.; Lolich, J.Spatially dependent neutron spectra have been measured in nonpoisoned heavy w ater (99.53 mol %), using the time-of-flight technique. From a critical review of the available scattering kernels, the ENDF/CASKET model was selected; this model in conjunction with a modified version of the DTF-IV transport code in Sg and P approximations, proved to be satisfactory for the cases studied. Also calculations were perform ed by the THERMOS and NYRESE codes. For the spectra studied the largest discrepancies between theory and measurement were 15%, a substantial improvement over prior studies.Ítem Acceso Abierto Outgoing neutron spectrum from H2O In a H20-uranium interface(1979) Abbate, M.; Lolich, J.The outgoing fherm al neutron spectrum from H2O in a H2O - metal uranium (0.4 % U 235 depleted) slob interface has been measured using standard time-of-flight techniques. The experimental flux was compared with calculations performed with a modified version of the DTF-IV code in Sg, Pq and P approximations. The ENDF/GASKET scatterlng kernel for H2O was used in conjunction with the GGC -3 cross-section data for uranium. The P q approximation proved to be satisfactory for the spectra studied.
